Yards Brewing Co., Philadelphia's biggest beer manufacture, will increase production at its Northern Liberties brewhouse as part of a new contract services business created with Pennsylvania's Bald Birds Brewing Co. and Connecticut's Two Roads Brewing. The new venture, B3 Brewing Co., will help smaller brands navigate the difficult market for the craft beer industry since the COVID-19 pandemic.

A custom Fender guitar and a vintage mandolin belonging to the rock band Heart were stolen last weekend before a show at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, police said. Garfield Bennett, 57, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, was arrested Wednesday after authorities say he sold at least one of the missing instruments.

Older adults in the U.S. are using marijuana at record levels, new research shows. Among people ages 65 and older, about 7% said they had used the drug in the past month in 2023, up from 4.8% in 2021 and 5.2% in 2022. Women, high earners and married people over 65 all reported increased cannabis use in recent years.

Harrisburg University's Philadelphia campus on Spring Garden Street will close at the end of August. The private college in the state capital said the closure is a strategic move to bolster the academic offerings at its main campus, which serves about 6,500 students. The university said it will offer a 'seamless transition' for students to finish degrees.

New Jersey State Police Detective Mark Campagna has been charged with endangering another person for his role in a high-speed chase that led to a motorcyclist's death in Burlington County in 2023, the New Jersey Attorney General's Office said. Campagna was off-duty and using an unmarked state police vehicle when he followed 24-year-old Omar Kebbabi for roughly 3 miles, sometimes topping 100 mph before the motorcyclist struck another car and died.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy signed a bill Monday that makes it a fourth-degree crime for people to incite brawls. The law aims to address years of unruly behavior from teens and young adults at the Jersey Shore, malls and other community events across the state. Under the new law, violators face $10,000 fines and up to 18 months in prison.

Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman Juqua Parker faces DUI charges after he crashed his car in central Pennsylvania in March, police said. Parker, 47, crashed his car in Ferguson Township, Centre County, and allegedly had a blood-alcohol content twice the legal limit, according to authorities.
